Responsibilities:
For the past week, we have been creating a board game. I have been working in a group of two as the team manager and as a 3D modeler. My job is to make the game pieces in 3DS Max for our game. I feel like this project is good practice for a real job in the future, as I have to create and meet deadlines for the team, as well as producing quality work. Research: To be a better leader and worker, I did some online research on tips for being a better team member, and I found this resourceful website: https://www.liquidplanner.com/blog/valued-member-of-your-team/ From the website, I found that you should most importantly be positive, respectful, reliable, and flexible. You need to be positive to boost the team's morale. Next, you need to be respectful so people will listen to you, and so that they will be more willing to look at your ideas. In addition, you need to be reliable so you will be given more freedoms and responsibility, and flexible so you can change something if necessary, or get something completed on a short time span. - Group projects are very complicated. -I should be a respected team member. -I need to produce quality work in a short time span. -I need to guide my team using these tips for us to be successful.

Overview:
This week in Game Design we created one page Game Design Documents. We basically showed the layout of the game board, since we are making board games, and we described the different parts of the board, the features, and the mechanics. What are Game Design Documents?: Game Design Documents are usually known for being very long, very descriptive documents written by the people who came up with the idea for a game, and describe every aspect of the game, detailed enough so the programmers, artists, and others can make the game exactly as wanted. Our document, on the other hand, still a layout for the game, but a much simpler, one page infographic. Some one-page Game Design Documents can be very large, such as 8 by 12 feet! Additional Research: I did some additional research on how a one-page Game Design Document should look. Most importantly, they should be precise, and should show visuals of the game. They should be able to explain the main points of the game without loosing the reader.
