From our experimenting Friday with the TI SensorTag, I found the temperature sensor to be the most useful. It measures temperature (obviously), and it can help collect data for certain uses such as a temperature chart for a day of the week, or temperatures in different areas, like what the many buildings on campus average temperature is. We can then manipulate the collected data, and make a bar graph for example. It could be a visual representation for, like I said earlier, showing what the different building's average temperatures are.

Data Visualization helps us to quickly interpret data and to spot correlations and patterns. As a student, I can notice trends in school like what the average grade is in a certain class, and I can see if I am above that or below that, I if I am below, I can see I need to bring my grade up. As a nation, we can graph things like high areas of pollution and wind patterns, and we can see what areas are in danger of getting harmful amounts of dangerous substances in their air. We can make a change by telling the EPA, or by telling the source of the pollution to stop or decrease emissions.
