I have started to really enjoy 3D modeling. At first I didn't like it because it seemed really complicated, but now I have gotten used to it. I really like watching the tutorials to make objects, instead of the teacher directly telling us how to make them. It makes me feel more independent. The only problems I encounter while doing this is usually that the tutorial will be in a different version of 3D Studio Max, and the controls or functions will be moved around. I like drawing 2D things, but I like creating 3D scenes. Creating scenes in 3D Studio Max reminds me of when I used to build maps in Trainz Simulator 12. I used landscape tools to make mountains and valleys, worked with spleens to add roads, bushes, fences, telephone poles, and train tracks. I really like open world games, and most open world games are in 3D, so if I want to create games like this I need to get very familiar with working in 3D.

The tutorial I have found to be the most useful is the tutorial on making a scene with mushrooms and rocks. In this tutorial I learned the Noise modifier. This modifier allows you to add bumps and dents to a shape. I also used this modifier when I was creating a tree. It helped make the tree look more realistic. In addition, I was thinking that you could use this modifier on a tank or plane to add dents from battle.
